How do bulbed plants like daffodils work. they get seed pods but grow from a bulb?

They reproduce sexually by producing seeds. They reproduce asexually by producing new bulbs attached to the old bulb. The seeds contain only half of the genes from the parent plant; the bulbs are genetically identical to the parent plant.

the bulb is a convenient way to sell them. it is the part where the leaves and roots grow from. bulbs still fertilize one another via the flower and produce seeds that will ultimately grow into a full plant...which contains a leaves, roots and a blub.
