Why have all my daffodils come up blind. They flowered last year. They have been in the ground 2 years.?

Hi Lesley I would guess you cut down the leaves too early last spring. After daffs have finished flowering leave for around six weeks or untill leaves turn yellow then either cut or pull off. Doing this lets all the goodness go back into the bulbs for the following spring. The other possibility is as Byron says you maybe planted them too deep. This year leave the leaves to die down naturally and give them some general fertilizer and I would think you will have flowers next spring. Cheers

i agree with everyone, but you may have also planted them upside down. if that happens the flowers work overtime trying to come up out of the ground, therefore leaving you with no flowers.
Reply:Probably planted too deep
Reply:I think you must have cut the foliage a bit short.
Reply:Did you cut them off too early, you are supposed to leave them until they go yellow. Bulbs can last quite a few years but new ones are always best.
