If you look at the Yahoo weather forecast for Gloucester and Chester, you will find there is 2 and sometimes 3C difference in the temps. Both day and night. Favourite place the Cotswolds.. Bourton on the Water.
Just got back from the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, they have got daffodils out, why haven't I in Cheshire.
You are in England and ask a stupid American a stupid question....................in Cheshire they don't have fowers, just sheep?
Reply:Cos it's warmer in Gloucestershire. The daffs are out in London (in fact I've had late summer flowers all through the "winter" and they are still out at the same time as stuff that's supposed to flower in February, March and April). At least you'll have something to enjoy when ours have finished.

Reply:We have them out in Yorkshire and we're a bit further north than you. I was at a local garden centre last friday and they had hive bees all over the pansies!
