What do you do with hyasins and daffodils after they've bloomed?

In a vase, throw them away. Outdoors, cut off the flower down to the base. Leave the green leaves alone to turn brown. This feeds the bulb for next year's bloom. You can remove the brown withered remains later in the summer. Many people plant something perennial in front of their bulbs to hide the greenery as it dies. Ideally, this would be something that is just coming up as the daffodils and hyacinths are fading.

after the flowers leave the leaves until they brown off as the bulb reuses the nutrients in the leaves for next year's flowers. It might look a bit unsightly but if you want flowers next year there is no other way .
