Hello Ash -

Also in Los Angeles here, and a crazy Daffodil (and Hyacinth) grower! :)

My advice is not to remove them and place them in the fridge - they will probably rot and not be succesful for future planting. The best thing is as suggested: just keep waiting. Particularly, the daffodils like water and sun. The warmer which you can get the bulbs to grow and expose them to, the faster the blooms will appear. So, if the plants are on your patio now and you can move them (such as in a container) then try to expose them if they are in more light. If this isnt possible, then you have to wait - as the warmer months come on they will eventually flower (unless they are in TOTAL shade - the daffodils will hold up much more than the tulips).

Good luck growing the tulips here in LA. The daffodils will keep coming back year-after-year - but, my usual advice to friends and clients is to throw the tulips away (here in SoCal) after they finish blooming.
Reply:No. You cannot do this. Bulbs have their own time frame and you will have to be patient with them. Perhaps they are not the plants and flower for you.
Reply:Be patient- they will come! Leaves come before the flowers, it'll happen. It's early still. Although mine have 'popped' up here in SF bay area! Strange, but I wouldn't do anything (like lose sleep over it) :)
