What's your favorite flower...and why?

I love so many but buttercups (daffodils) are my favorite. I remember them growing by the hundreds in my grandmother's yard in Alabama. Ahhhhh...Sweet Memories.....

What's your favorite flower...and why?
Sweet Home Alabama. I live there for almost 40 years and the variety of plant is outstanding. If I still lived there I would say white Crepe Myrtle (a tree and a flower both)...but I live in Central America now and my favorite now is an orchid. I have several types and colors growing in my gardens. My favorite is a small white one outside my laundry room. It always makes me smile - even when going to do laundry! :)
Reply:Old English roses. They're easy to grow and smell wonderful!
Reply:Sweet peas. They are delicate, fragrant, and frilly! Yes daffodils are a close second.
Reply:My favorites are white roses. They're so pure and clean and elegant... and they go with any decor. They're also hard to find or more expensive than other roses, so when someone gives them to you, you know that they had to specifically ask the florist for them or hunt for them, which makes it all the more special.
Reply:sun flowers. in france they grow in feids. they are endless and cover 100's of acres
Reply:Hyacinths. They are so "springy" to me. I'd love to see purple all over my front yard, :-). Unfortunately they only last a couple weeks...
Reply:Without a doubt ... Daylilies ... so many flower shapes, so many colors: http://www.gardening-quick-n-easy.com/da...

Flower meaning for the daylily: coquetry (flirtation)

Thanks for the question =)
Reply:Lilacs because they tie in with my memories.

Gardenias because they just smell heavenly!
Reply:Bachelor buttons...I know some consider this a weed but I love them. They are my childhood first pickings and my sisters and I used to weave them into rings and wear them around around necks like lei's.
Reply:Peonies...not sure why I'm so drawn to them. You don't need many to make a beautiful arrangement and they look so delicate in spite of their size. Too bad the ants like them too!
Reply:i like marigolds
Reply:Peonies. They're beautiful, feminine flowers. They look like roses but don't have the sickly sweet stench - they smell subtle.
Reply:yellow roses because they mean friendship.
