My tulips are struggling in my flower bed! Is there anything I can add to my soil w.o. hurting my daffodils?

Miracle Gro, right away.. That, and occasionally thinning of the bulbs should be all you need. Transplant some of them after the foliage turns yellow.

Why do you think they're struggling? And are tulips reliably perennial in your climate? (Daffodils often persist in many US gardens for 100+ years, tulips rarely more than 10)

What's your climate like, soil type, how long have they been in the ground, what symptoms are you seeing, and what's the recent weather been like?

Without some context, I really can't begin to answer your question.
Reply:I'm sorry but you did not give enough info-by struggling does this mean they are flowering or is this just the leaves because my tulips dont look the best right now but they have not started blooming yet. The leaves take quite a beating in the spring with the different temperatures the cold wind and the wet snow but they can handle it for the most part bulbs do not need to be fertilized and most of the moisture comes from winter snow and rain so unless this is a very heavy drought area this is another thing we usually dont worry about. So maybe a little more information. .
Reply:Once they show signs of struggling I've found it's usually too late. You have to care for them properly right from the start like watering them enough but not so much that the water can't drain. Last year my tulips were so pretty all the neighbors would complement them this year I messed up and missed watering them for like a week. They never came back.
Reply:I am personally not fond of tulips as they are notorious for waning as the years go by. I usually get one or two good years out of them and then they quit blooming altogether. I Never plant them any more. I have tried all the tricks of the trade including dividing them, fertilizing them, giving them more or less water, more or less sun etc. They just tend to poop out after a while...I would never recommend tulips unless you treat them as an annual.
Reply:I would add some general purpose all-round plant food or fertilizer. Something water soluable would react quicker and get to the plant's roots faster.

good luck
