Why do daffodils always face the road?

What a great question!! I always wonder about stuff like that too!! Its amazing how nature works. I would think that they are just trying to show their pretty faces!! ^-^

Why do daffodils always face the road?
Thanks for mentioning that I had thought of that the other day then promptly forgot it,maybe they greet the sun?I noticed mine did that too although they are in sunlight all around them and for many hours. They seem to face outwards.
Reply:Do they really? Huh... never noticed that

I'm not really sure why they would do that...Heat maybe...Asphalt gets hot quickly...Maybe it radiates heat so the daffodils consider it a good heat source and so they face it

A lot flowers face the sun...
Reply:I never really thought of this. But it's probably because they're trying to grow toward the light- and that's where most of the light is.
Reply:the heat....and this site may help http://snazyink.com/prints_and_originals
Reply:They get bored so they watch the traffic. At night they turn their faces to the Stars.
Reply:The road absorbs the sunlight so the daffodils feel the heat from it and think the road is the sun, and all plants look to the sun for heat.
