Can daffodils grow in tropical regions?

The can definitely grow in the tropics. However, best results are obtained by growing them in loose, well-drained soil that is fertilized during the growing period, then digging them up a couple of months after blooming, washing them carefully and allowing the bulbs to dry out, placing them in a paper bag in a cool dry place for about 3 months, then refrigerating the bag for a couple of months, followed by replanting. Every couple of years you'll have to divide the bulb clusters.

If you don't go through the drying and refrigeration, they'll gradually decline and die.

Can daffodils grow in tropical regions?
I don't actually know but, given the season-dependent mood of the ones in my garden, I'd be surprised if they were able to cope with the tropics.
