I love aspen trees...They are so pretty. But it also depends on where you live and if you are willing to wait for it to grow.

I think any beautiful tree would suit your pony. Unless you are looking for something like a gray tree? I'm very sorry about Franky.
Reply:Plant a pear or an apple tree. It is very plain that he meant a lot to you and gave much joy in your life. Plant an pear or apple tree, the reason being, he gave you joy allow him to keep giving. That way he is not only giving to you but to your future horses with tasty treats. A neighbor's horse died and their pasture borders ours and that's what they did, planted a pear tree over him. Now both our horses get fresh pears when they are in season because he is buried on by the property line. When an animal has given that much to you, might as well allow the animal to keep giving. I am sorry for your loss, but it he is in your heart, it really isn't a loss. Just some time away till we all meet in that big round up in the sky.
Reply:very sorry for your loss, it is hard to lose a good friend. i agree with it depending on your zone. But i also like the pear or in the northern zone, an apple tree, it too flowers and then gives candy!!! My horses are very fond of lower branch apples and so are the deer.
Reply:I love oak trees because they are so Strong. So that is what I would plant. Did Franky have a favorite tree? If so plant one of those on his grave.
Reply:My heart and sympathy go out to you. I've lost beloved horses and I know how you must feel. Go to your local nursery and look at what trees would be appropriate for your part of the country, the soil and the rainfall. I think this is a fitting tribute to your pony.
Reply:i think you should plant a big tree with flowing branches. maybe either a dogwood, a cherry tree, or even a willow tree.

im very very sorry for your loss and i hope that the tree planting goes well
Reply:idk alot about types of trees but i think a nice big pine tree or an oak. just cause thats what is mostly where i live. and they may take a while to grow but its worth it. sorry for your loss.

: D
Reply:I'm so sad for you!! Bless your heart!! I like the Oak answer, it will live so long and is a great tribute to Franky for the next couple of generations.
Reply:Im not good with trees but maybe a tree your dear franky loved i am sooo sorry three horses died that lived near me on the weekend it is a horrible thing to have happened
Reply:I think that your pony would love to know that you planted an apple tree in his memory.
Reply:I would go for a red fern, oak tree or an apple tree. Probably something small and pretty or big and proud. I'm VERY sorry for you loss.
