Here, the snow is melting, the grass hasn't grown for months but the tulips and daffodils are blooming! Crazy!
Is your garden confused?!?
We didn't have much snow up in Wolverhampton, but it has been very cold this week! My daffodils don't seem to think it's winter though, they began to come up in December. The lilac tree in the back garden has had new buds on it since the leaves began to fall in October! My cornflowers, planted last July still have two healthy flower heads as we speak! It's mad!!!
Reply:this has been happening for the last few years its crazy and plays tricks with the old mind. Dont be tempted to go further though coz it just dont work, pretend you are in Amsterdam for now.
Reply:NO BUT I AM CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT YOUR TRYING TO ASK!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:You are lucky. Grass growing madly here and needs cutting between snow showers and frost. Daffs are up and roses still flowering from last year. Some birds have nested and fledglings hopping around. Spiders are out which is very unfair as I appreciate a long season without them! I am as confused as the poor old garden.
Reply:my gardens confused, it thinks that its the fonz out of happy days ive tried to seek physciatric help for it but no matter who i call they dont seem to want to visit they just keep asking me to call around to the surgury..........
Reply:yes ,but it is suposed to be ,its a permaculture garden ,this means we plan in cubic terms and try to utilize all the space ,the result is a compact confused garden ,with a great variety of the maximum number of plants that can live together, using trees as poles to grow vines and planting beans on the fences etc.
but it is winter now ,it must be at least 28 degrees celcius(in the night)the days are a lot hotter.,this is the tropics
lots of bananas coming ,some papaya,
but the pine apples ,passion fruit, wanabana, etc.are still a long way off
and it hasnt rained in months(but i got lots of irrigation)
we are reparing the fish ponds and the bio space is ready and stocked with fish and 5 baby crocodiles ,waiting for the canaries and green iguanas
.
Reply:My cilantro is growing! Fresh salsa in January!

Reply:i really think the weather is crazy, the plants n stuff only grow or have kept their leaves n things because its milder,at least it looks nicer for longer
