Daffodils - lack of blooms?

Why do my daffodils never produce flowers after the first year of planting? Loads of green but not a flower to be seen

Daffodils - lack of blooms?
Wait another 4 weeks
Reply:when the tops die back dig them up, split them up if crowded, put bulb fibre in holes and replant at correct depth. Best not to feed them too much or they will not flower. If you plant new ones make sure you put them in early enough
Reply:they dont like to bloom cause they dont receive any TLC
Reply:I had the same problem with my daffodils. A Master gardener gave me these tips...If you are cutting the leaves back before they die off, you are destroying the food source that enables the bulbs to bloom again next year. If the leaves become unsightly, just roll them up and secure with a rubber band.
Reply:They have gone blind. You will have to dig them up and plant new ones. Maybe you are not planting them deep enough. It should be twice the depthof the bulb.
Reply:also make sure they are far enough apart a 4-6 inches
Reply:They were not planted deeply enough in the first place.

make sure you have good soil.plenty of compost, or growmore, and then get some more, plant them three bulb size deep. usually 9 inches, and await for some glorious blooms next year.

Good luck.
