Planting daffodils??
The general rule is to plant bulbs twice as deep as their circumference. One half inch either way will not ruin anything. However, the above advice is great except fr one part: DO NOT add bone meal by itself; it attracts rodents and other animals who may destroy your garden and it is not balanced food by itself. Try a general bulb food available in any garden centre or nursery, and apply as directed, once when planting; once after the first foliage peeps through, and once when the blooms have finished; to get them ready for next year.
Reply:Make sure to plant the bulbs with the shoots pointing UP. You do not have to plant them too deep either, just enough to cover them. I use a light wood mulch thinly over the area where I plant them...to protect them.

They multiply so be cautious on where you plant them...

Depending on your location, the bulbs will come back every year... in some places you have to dig the bulbs up %26amp; store them. I dont have to do that, thankfully!

They usually bloom in Spring... and smell soooo good!
Reply:Daffodils are planted in fall and bloom in spring. I plant about 6" deep with the pointy end up. If you get severe winters mulch the beds well in the fall. After they bloom let the foliage die back totally before cutting off. That feeds energy into the bulb. Bone meal is also good to put in the soil as you plant.
