My love, one thousand years from now
I swear you'll have a name.
Someone will read this and know how
Such stunning looks were never tame.
Yes you, my muse, my one love true;
Renowned through all the game.
Oh listen, my heart beats for you,
Good God, you thrill and always will.
Each strawberry and morning dew
Reflects your smile still.
Some offer you the tired rose;
Take mine, the purple daffodil,
And when you put it to your nose
Know that it's from my heart.
Each smile that you give me shows
My love for you will not depart.
Yet time has showed me with a bend
How sweetness does turn tart;
And on love we cannot depend.
No brakes, you must go where it takes.
Don't worry though, love has no end;
Still sailing on the calmest lakes.
The World's Greatest Acrostic Love Poem!!!?
i really love this poem. everyone says poetry doesn't always have to rhyme, but it is so much more relaxing and nice to read if it does. plus you can tell that you put in some effort to make the poem flow nicely. it wasn't choppy like a lot of other poems. i especially liked the part about the purple daffodil. it really shows the uniqueness of your love. good job. :)
Reply:ha ha i'm not so sure about the world's greatest, but it's right up there in the top 10 at least. Missy Rogers Take My Hand, even that part is a great line. I loved it.
