They took OUR MONEY AND BOUGHT GOODIES.who thinks they should just shut up,and get on with it?i hate there fatness and smellyness.

Farmers on sky news yet again they beg beg beg beg!!!!!!!!!!?
They really get on my nerves! It always amazes me why the bloody farmers think that they are the ONLY ones who are affected when something like this happens! It affects many other people to including shops, agricultural workers, cattle lorry drivers, even my parents were affected last time because the outdoor antiques fairs they do were on agricultural land and so had to be cancelled and selling antiques is THEIR business and livelihood. Yet again us tax payers will have to foot the bill for these bloody whingers!
Reply:we all need food you know.besides if the big supermarkets paid the farmers proper prices for their product perhaps they would not expect us to help pay for their plight.
Reply:I pity you....poor uneducated foolish boy.
Reply:You'll be paying a lot more for imports, if the farmers go bankrupt.
Reply:Assuming one is allowed to make reasonable comments on here -

Fact: A farmer will receive approximately £0.15 for a cauliflower that you buy in the supermarket for £1.00. A total load will be rejected by the supermarket quality controllers if one cauliflower is found to be slightly marked, under or oversized. Now where do you think all that remaining £0.85 goes!

I'm no farmer however I do have sympathy for the smaller ones. Here in Lincolnshire, potatoes are rotting in the ground - just wait for the shortage in the main crop and see what you're paying in the supermarket - and most farmers have lost a third to a half of their pea crops. They don't get any compensation for this.
Reply:Hey City Boy

Rancher raise cows. Farmers raise crops.

You don't think that the oil companies are the cause for your gripes. The farmer and the ranchers get riped off more then you.

You are just at the end of the food chain. You need to get your boots dirty for a year before you complain.

You don't take your money and buy goodies.

What are you one of those rich kids or a tree hugger.
Reply:That is a little harsh ... most farmers have to sell their produce at a fixed rate decided by big supermarkets .

This rate is usually low as the big stores use bully boy tatics ..

As for the foot and mouth outbreak .. these people have lost their livelihood because of incompetence and they deserve to be fully compensated
Reply:wake up and smell the funeral pyres-numpty
Reply:Oh for goodness sake man it's their liveliehood and as the other answerer says you'll be the first to moan when we run short of products and have to import,so give the hard working farmers a break!!!
Reply:simple solution to what seems to be a problem for you... buy a cow, pig, plant some grains, veg and see what's it like... after all, if there were no farmers in the world you'd starve to death.

You should appreciate that someone goes through at that trouble, just so you can stuff your ignorant face...

And a bit of help with the hoof %26amp; mouth disease vet's bill, by the government should n't break the bank!
Reply:Shut up fool. Thats someones livliehood, become a vegetarian if you dont like it! What abot the hard work they have to do as farmers? I bet it would put most people to shame, they get up as early as 5am and dont usually finnish until 6pm or later, what right have we to judge good old fashioned hard work? we think we are hard done by starting at 9am, get a grip.
Reply:I was a farmer, it was to expensive so i turned all my land to set asside %26amp; got grants from the eu of £220,000 pa for doing sod all. in many ways i agree with u but fear u need to be educated a bit on current issues.
Reply:If you only had a shred of proof about what you're saying I might be inclined to agree with you - I can't stand to see innocent people being ripped off. But when animals have to suffer at the hand of some doughnuts in white collars who experiment carelessly - then I asure you that the chubby farmers get all my sympathy and support.
