Is it too early to plant my daffodil bulbs in cornwall?

Is it too early to plant my daffodil bulbs in cornwall?
September and october is the best time. In beds plant 3 x their own depth using a trowel or bulb planting tool to do lots. Put gritty sand in hole if clay soil. In containers- few stones in bottom, then compost, push in bulbs close toghether, almost touching, compost on top and another layer of bulbs if you've space, more bulbs will give a better show.

Reply:No, I live up in Bristol and ive put mine in this afternoon. They need to get in the ground before the frosts start.

Reply:No it's not too early, Make sure you cover them with 3 inches of soil.
Reply:i wont have thought so i have planted mine and i live in derbyshire... and they come up every year ..... and i think well i no cornwall is alot milder than derbyshire..... if in doubt palnt them from now and at two week intervals .... remember where u palnted for future fref and then next yr hopefully u;; be spot on ...... good luck

Do you have to plant them in Cornwall - seems a hell of a long way to go grow some daffs. What's wrong with your own back garden?
Reply:Not too early, bulb season is just getting kicked off. Now is best as u get a better variety

Reply:No, but it's silly if you happen to live in Yorkshire.
